Today, LunarSight has been acquired by Oval Software. The new developer will carry the app forward and is eager to implement new features.

Update: I had been developing LunarSight for 2 years, and before that the project was going to be a macOS application, much different and complex that the iOS app it ended up being. While it wasn’t without its complexities, the end result wasn’t entirely what I initially set out to do. I wanted to build a scientific application with charts and Moon maps, but I didn’t get that far. I think I lost interest in it because it was an iOS app. The amount of things you can do within an iOS device (specially an iPhone) is limited when you compare it with a Mac.

If I were to start today, I would certainly aim for a macOS app first.
