Today, LunarSight has been acquired by Oval Software. The new developer will carry the app forward and is eager to implement new features. Update: I had been developing LunarSight for 2 years, and before that the project was going to be a macOS application, much different and complex that the iOS app it ended up being. While it wasn’t without its complexities, the end result wasn’t entirely what I initially set out to do.
I just released the first version of LunarSight. LunarSight is an iOS app that shows the most accurate and relevant Moon parameters, a monthly ephemeris and a calendar. It is mostly an MVP right now, but I plan to extend the feature set to also include charts and both 2D and 3D maps. If there is enough interest from users, I will also develop a proper Mac version with possibly more features than the mobile version.
